We got tired of watching good projects die between vendors

Hyperion7 exists because the developer, the designer and the accountant were never in the same room — and the client was left translating between them.

How we started

Hyperion7 began in 2019 as a team of five: three developers, an accountant, and a head of creative and design, all sharing one office and, increasingly, the same clients. The pattern kept repeating: a company would commission a system that did not reflect how it invoiced, or a brand refresh nobody could produce material from, and the cost of fixing it landed on whoever was closest.

So we built one company around four capabilities instead of four companies around one client. Today we are a team of eighteen across software, product, design and finance, working with manufacturers, brokerages, logistics operators and game studios.

We are deliberately not the cheapest option, and we say no to work we are not right for — usually with a recommendation of who is.

What we hold to

Say the number

Estimates, risks and bad news arrive early and in writing, not on the day of the deadline.

Build for the next person

Code, files and ledgers are left in a state a stranger could pick up.

Decisions over opinions

Every recommendation comes with the trade-off it carries and what we would do with your money.

Own the handover

An engagement is finished when your team can run it without us, not when the invoice clears.

  • 20+Projects delivered
  • 10+Clients served
  • 2+Years in business
  • 7+Industries worked in

Who you will actually work with

Each engagement has one named lead from the relevant pillar. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it.

How an engagement runs

Six steps, in this order, whether the deliverable is a web app or a set of filed accounts.

  1. 1

    Discovery

A call, then a look at what you already have — systems, files, books. We come back with what we think the real problem is, which is not always the one you asked about.

  2. 2

    Planning

A written scope: deliverables, exclusions, dependencies on your side, milestones and a fixed price or a capped rate. You approve it before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Design and development

Work happens in two-week blocks with a demo at the end of each. You see progress in the real thing, not in a status report.

  4. 4

    Testing and review

We test against the scope, you test against reality. Fixes inside the agreed scope are not billed as extras.

  5. 5

    Launch and handover

Deployment, training for your team, and a handover pack with source code, design files, credentials and documentation.

  6. 6

    Ongoing support

Optional monthly support: maintenance, small changes, bookkeeping and filings. Month to month, cancel whenever it stops being useful.

Upcoming Opportunities

We hire slowly and keep people. Senior salaries, four-day sprints, and no timesheets. Send work, not a cover letter.
